The Young Founders

Open to individuals age 50 or younger, the Young Founders Club combines the best of being in the Founders of Mount Sinai and the Young Presidents Club (YPC). Members literally enjoy the best of both worlds.

Young Founders membership requires a $50,000 pledge in support of Mount Sinai. Because they join at a younger age, Young Founders typically have a longer period of time to pay off their lifetime pledge. And because many Young Founders begin their Foundation participation as Young Presidents, their cumulative YPC pledge payments are credited toward their Founders pledge.

Concierge Services

If a Founder or immediate family member is admitted as a patient, our Concierge Services staff is available to provide assistance. And, because we consider Founders part of our family, they are not required to pay an upfront deposit for hospital services.

The Care Line

The Care Line is an exclusive service developed to respond to the urgent medical needs of Founders, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Whenever Founders have a hospital-related need, they are encouraged to call the Care Line where specially trained representatives provide assistance, expedite services and guide the Founder through his or her health care experience. This service is especially helpful in an emergency. During regular business hours, additional Care Line services are available to Founders and Young Founders:

Assistance with scheduling physician and diagnostic testing appointments
Pre-registration for outpatient services
Processing room requests
Billing assistance

Membership Card

Presenting the card at the medical center entitles Young Founders and their immediate family members to receive special services.

Keller Pavilion

When hospitalized, many Founders and Young Founders choose to stay in the Keller Pavilion, located on the eighth floor of the de Hirsch Meyer Tower. With its cherry wood accents, luxurious trimmings and deluxe accommodations, the Keller Pavilion offers private rooms with city and bay views, a gourmet menu and the personalized health care that is Mount Sinai’s hallmark.

Convenient Parking

The Founders Parking Lot, located across the street from the medical staff office pavilion provides convenient access to medical center facilities. Founders also have the option of using complimentary parking in the de Hirsch Meyer Parking & Security Center.

Social Events and Professional Networking

Young Founders have the distinct advantage of attending events hosted by both the Founders of Mount Sinai and the Young Presidents Club – and they have their own exclusive activities as well. These include:

Young Founders Dinner Series.

Enjoy a series of special evenings with your fellow Young Founders at some of the community’s newest and trendiest restaurants. These evenings are exclusively for Young Founders.

Young Presidents Club Events

A fabulous array of fun-filled parties and networkers, including the Season Opener, a celebratory installation brunch, and Sexy Saturday Night, as well as networking events at high-profile locations.

First Year Free

It is important to us that you know your pledge is applied toward supporting teaching, research and patient care at Mount Sinai. During your first full year of Young Founders membership, you receive complimentary admittance to Young Presidents Club events and the Founders Ball. Thereafter, there is a ticket price associated with each gathering.

Founders Ball

The social season culminates with the elaborate and exotically-themed Founders Ball. In celebration of The Founders and with a spotlight on new members, this well-attended event features live entertainment, dinner and dancing.

Special Recognition

As a Young Founder, your name will be displayed on the Young Presidents Club recognition wall in Mount Sinai’s de Hirsch Meyer Tower lobby, directly across from the information desk. A personalized plaque also will be placed in the medical center bearing your message or dedication to a loved one, and you are given an engraved plaque of your own to display in your home or office. In addition your name or that of an individual you wish to honor will be inscribed on a Founders plaque and displayed in the hospital. Founders also receive an elaborate plaque to display in their home or office.
