Benefits of Giving

Mount Sinai Medical Center Foundation is truly a family. It is our privilege to recognize our major donors with special events, dedication plaques, significant signage and name recognition through our newsletter and media relations. Those who contribute become part of a very special inner circle that has a rich history of involvement in our Foundation. Each donor group offers a unique opportunity to work with dynamic individuals who share a strong commitment to ensuring the health and well-being of our community and we would be privileged to have you join us.

Society of Mount Sinai

The Society represents the Foundation’s highest level of giving, with membership being based on a donor’s cumulative history of support. According to the amount of their gift, donors receive one of the following designations:

Member$150,000
Fellow$250,000
Benefactor$500,000
Humanitarian$1 million
Visionary$2.5 million
Doctor of Philanthropy$5 million

New and existing members are recognized and celebrated during the Society Gala, an evening of fine dining, elegant décor and dazzling entertainment. In addition to receiving a commemorative medallion at the time of their installation, Society members are recognized with beautiful family walls that are placed throughout the medical center, and a stone in the Society Wall, located in the de Hirsch Meyer Tower.

Members of the Society enjoy a variety of benefits. We believe that the most valuable benefit is our Care Line, which is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week for hospital-related needs. Our V.I.P. representatives may assist Society members and their immediate family who need the services of the medical center. Complimentary valet parking is provided, as well as bedside patient registration and other special courtesies. Benefits also include educational programming and exclusive social events, highlighted by the Society Gala.

Founders/YoungFounders

The Founders is Mount Sinai’s most time-honored organization, and one whose membership is part of a valued tradition in our community. With a gift of $50,000, individuals and organizations make a commitment to provide sustained support for Mount Sinai’s programs. Individuals who join Founders and are less than 50 years of age are Young Founders and they have the flexibility of moving freely within the Founders and Young Presidents Club.

New Founders are inducted during an installation ceremony that takes place during the Annual Founders Ball, a grand event of dinner, dancing and entertainment. Members receive an elaborate plaque to display in their home or office. In addition, the Founders name, or that of an individual the member wishes to honor, is inscribed in a plaque and displayed in the hospital. In addition, members’ names are listed on individual tiles that make up the Founders wall, located in the Warner Pavilion lobby adjacent to the George and Marla Bergmann Founders Dining Room.

Young Presidents Club

The Young Presidents Club (YPC) was established in 1973 for individuals up to 45 years of age who seek a venue for social and business networking, while fulfilling their desire to support a charity they believe in. With a pledge of $10,000, young philanthropists are welcomed into the organization.

Young Presidents are recognized with a personalized plaque placed in the hospital, as well as a beautiful take-home plaque for display in their home or office.

Throughout the season, Young Presidents enjoy a variety of events, including:

  • Season Opener – A high-energy party built around a trendy theme or staged at the newest hot spot.
  • Annual Meeting and Installation – A private brunch and installation meeting at Joe’s Stone Crab.
  • Networkers – Members make new friends and business contacts while mingling with fellow Young Presidents and other young professionals.
  • Family Day – Enjoy special parties and family-oriented outings.
