Mount Sinai Medical Center Website

What if...your single act of charity takes on many lives of its own?

What if becoming a member enriches your life beyond your dreams...
and breathes new life into the hard work of treating and curing disease?

What if one person’s commitment helps a multitude of people?
“My wish is that your hospital will continue to make a positive impact on people’s lives and the community.”

Charles R. Kimble, grateful patient

Society of Mount Sinai

Each one of our Society members touches thousands of lives – the lives of neighbors and friends who may benefit from updated medical equipment, the lives of strangers who may get accepted into a new clinical trial, the lives of people in need as well as the lives of the people closest to them. What if your gift not only helps save lives every day, but also contributes to the fight against major diseases like cancer, heart disease and Alzheimer’s?

At this pivotal time in the history of the Mount Sinai Medical Center Foundation, when your donations are perhaps more important than ever, we ask you to consider a few What ifs...

What if Mount Sinai Medical Center was no longer here to serve you and the community?

What if your generosity touches many lives today and leads to the next big breakthrough in medical research tomorrow?

Make the decision to give back to your community while providing yourself and your family with special access to Great Medicine.

The Society of Mount Sinai is the premier philanthropic organization within Mount Sinai Medical Center Foundation.

Participation in the Society is determined on the basis of the donor’s cumulative giving history to the Mount Sinai Medical Center Foundation. Previous support, as well as new gifts, may be included to determine eligibility. To augment cumulative giving to one of the Society levels, additional gifts can be made in the form of a trust and/or secured agreements by will. Upgrade opportunities may combine a lifetime gift of cash, negotiable securities, or properties, or a future gift by special provision in trusts or wills. Additional pledges may be paid over a period of years.

The six levels of Society membership include:

  • Member $150,000
  • Fellow $250,000
  • Benefactor $500,000
  • Humanitarian $1 million
  • Visionary $2.5 million
  • Doctor of Philanthropy $5 million

Society of Benefits

“What if membership offered you and your family the comfort of special services?”

The Care Line and Concierge Services

The Care Line is an exclusive service developed to respond to the urgent medical needs of Society members, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Whenever members have a hospital-related need, they are encouraged to call the Care Line where representatives provide bedside registration, expedite services and guide the Society member through his or her health care experience. This service is especially helpful in an emergency.
Additional Care Line benefits include:

  • Concierge services
  • Bedside registration
  • Assistance with scheduling physician and diagnostic appointments
  • Processing room requests
  • Pre-registration for inpatient and outpatient services
  • Billing assistance
  • Personal escort to medical appointments on Mount Sinai campus
  • Complimentary valet parking
  • “Society by Request” services to meet the needs of hospitalized Society members

Society Membership Card

Each Society member is given a membership card. Presenting the card at the medical center entitles the member and their immediate family members to receive special services.

Keller Pavilion

When hospitalized, many of our donors choose to stay in the beautifully decorated Keller Pavilion, located on the eighth floor of the de Hirsch Meyer Tower. With its cherry wood accents, luxurious trimmings and deluxe accommodations, the Keller Pavilion offers private rooms with city and bay views, a gourmet menu and the personalized health care that is Mount Sinai’s hallmark.

Lasting Dedications

Standing nearly 13 feet high and located in the lobby of the de Hirsch Meyer Tower, the magnificent Society of Mount Sinai Tribute Wall is a public “thank you” to Mount Sinai’s most generous supporters. Each donor’s name is permanently engraved on a beautiful stone and mounted on the Tribute Wall to be admired today and for generations to come.

In addition, all Society members are recognized with beautiful family walls that are placed in various locations around the medical center. Each wall contains personalized plaques in honor or memory of loved ones, friends or others they wish to recognize.

Society Gala

New members are warmly welcomed at the elegant Society Gala. During this chic affair, members are ceremoniously presented with a distinctive medallion bearing the Society of Mount Sinai crest, as an everlasting symbol of our deep appreciation. An exquisite Italian crystal gift is presented to those members contributing $500,000 or more.

Become a Society Member

It is only through the generous contributions of our Society members and other charitable groups that Mount Sinai can continue on its path to become one of the nation’s leading health care providers.
